I’m a tri-national Japanese-Peruvian-Canadian designer, born and raised in Lima, Peru. I hold a Bachelor of Arts from Universidad Católica del Perú and the Certified Graphic Designer (CDP) certification in Canada. I’ve worked with diverse clients across various sectors, leveraging my multicultural background to create designs that connect with global audiences.
As a graphic designer and the founder of Design with Purpose Inc., I specialize in creating visual solutions that make a difference. With over 15 years of experience, my work focuses on delivering impactful, accessible, and visually engaging designs for non-profit organizations and international development projects. My mission is to create design that not only looks beautiful but also serves a greater purpose – advancing social justice, equity, and sustainability.
I have had the privilege of working with the UN Global Compact Network, Social Innovation Canada, Canadian Feed The Children, the UNEP, the Canadian Mental Health Association and many other organizations.
I am deeply committed to creating design solutions that drive meaningful change and inspire action. Whether it’s through empowering communities, advancing social justice, or supporting sustainability initiatives, I believe design has the power to shape perceptions, influence behaviors, and foster connections. My goal is to partner with organizations that share a vision for positive impact, delivering creative solutions that are not only visually compelling but also purposeful and effective.
My expertise spans across:
• Graphic Design & Illustration
• Publication Design (Reports, Annual Reports, Brochures, etc.)
• User-Centered Design & Document Accessibility
• Motion Graphics & Video Editing
• Data Visualization & Infographics
• Web & Social Media Assets
• Visual Identity
I’m passionate about collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop creative strategies that reflect the unique values of each project. I also specialize in designing solutions that meet accessibility standards (AODA certified), ensuring all audiences can engage with the work.
