Yuriko is a tri-national Japanese-Peruvian-Canadian woman. She was born and raised in Lima, Peru within a family of Japanese immigrants.
She graduated from the Universidad Catolica del Peru with a Bachelor of Arts degree, with a major in Industrial Design. She later moved to Japan where she became interested in Graphic and Web design and began training in these fields.
Her move to Toronto, Canada on January 5th, 1999 coincided with a winter storm large enough for the Canadian Army to be called in to help. She found it to be quite wonderful…what others chose to stress and complain about, she found soul-stirring.
She accomplished the CGD certification by Canada’s national certification body for graphic and communication design and has been working in the design field in Toronto since 1999, in the course of which, has gained a lot of valuable experience in the areas of branding and marketing.
My mission: to create positive change through design.
I believe that design should reflect the real essence, that is, the heart of a company and provide inspiration for both its customers and the people working within it.
It is my sincere goal to bring increased value to your company and help it to grow by not only delivering results but, as a by-product, having a positive impact on society as a whole.
