about design with purpose
Design with Purpose is a design studio that started with a simple idea:
to create positive change through design.
We believe that design should reflect the real essence, that is, the heart of a company and provide inspiration for both its customers and the people working within it.
It is our sincere goal to bring increased value to your company and help it to grow by not only delivering results but, as a by-product, having a positive impact on society as a whole.
about yuriko zakimi
Yuriko is the founder of Design with Purpose. She is a tri-national Japanese-Peruvian-Canadian woman. She was born and raised in Lima, Peru within a family of Japanese immigrants.
She graduated from the Universidad Catolica del Peru with a Bachelor of Arts degree, specializing in Industrial Design. She later moved to Japan where she became interested in Graphic and Web design and began training in these fields there.
Her move to Toronto, Canada on January 5th, 1999 coincided with a winter storm large enough for the Canadian Army to be called in to help. She found it to be quite wonderful…what others chose to stress and complain about, she found soul stirring.
She has been working in the design field in Toronto since 1999, in the course of which, she has gained a lot of valuable experience in the areas of branding and marketing.

Yuriko’s first attempt at typography at age 3.

We are proud to present our 2011 calendars and agendas available at Chapters / Indigo across Canada. Concept and design by Design with Purpose.
